Star Gazer - A Lunar Eclipse

Jack Horkheimer The heavens somewhat dimmed this year in the wake of the passing of beloved Star Gazer host and creator, Jack Horkheimer. The show goes on, however, in his honor. WPBT2 will continue his legacy with new plans for the future.

Follow astronomy experts as they explain the science behind a lunar eclipse and get a sneak peek on WPBT2 and Miami Science Museum’s plans to revamp the series, including information on how to become the next Star Gazer host.

Watch the lunar eclipse live on wpbt2.org/stargazer at 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 21 and chat with astronomy experts and producers of Jack Horkheimer’s Star Gazer.

The Audition
Details about the upcoming audtion will be posted on WPBT2's and Miami Science Museum's websites. We will post a script from one of the episodes which anyone interested will need to read. Just send us a video of yourself reading the script and then upload your video to uVu.

About Star Gazer
Star Gazer is the world's only weekly television series on naked eye astronomy and is a national syndication of WPBT2. Each weekly episode features selected objects for naked eye viewing for the following week. There are two versions of Star Gazer, one 5 minutes long and the other 1 minute long.
