– WPBT2 commemorates the one year anniversary of Haiti’s devastating earthquake with special programming. –
This documentary, produced by The Miami Herald/El Nuevo Herald and directed by Joe Cardona, focuses on Haiti’s past, present and future in light of the apocalyptic January 12th earthquake that now marks a new chapter in the nation’s history. Nou Bouke is a Creole slogan that is painted on many ruinous walls throughout Port-au Prince, loosely translated to “We’re Tired” and indeed Haitian history is tainted with daunting chapters of failed political plans and hollow promises of development. There will also be an encore presentation of Nou Bouke followed by a live discussion in the WPBT2 studios.
