Dave GrusinAn Evening with Dave Grusin presents Dave Grusin, 10 time GRAMMY Award winning and Academy Award winning composer, conductor and pianist in a magnificent concert setting in Miami, Florida at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts. Dave performs with the 75 piece Mancini Institute Orchestra and a host of guest artists, including: Grammy winning vocalists, Patti Austin, Jon Secada, Monica Mancini, and GRAMMY winning instrumentalists, Gary Burton, Arturo Sandoval, Nestor Torres, and Sammy Figueroa.

The musical selections feature Dave’s award winning film scores for On Golden Pond, Tootsie, The Fabulous Baker Boys, Goonies, and more. Additionally, Dave celebrates the music of great American composer George Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess, Henry Mancini’s Moon River, and Leonard Bernstein’s music for the Broadway hit, West Side Story. Dave is joined by his friends in a large orchestral setting.

Interspersed with the performance are intimate interviews with Dave and his guests adding context to the music and the performances. The concert was shot on December 4, 2009 with 10 HD cameras, and is mixed in 5.1 Dolby surround sound.
