Changing Seas

Changing Seas is an original public television series produced by WPBT2 in Miami, Florida.  Currently in its fourth season, Changing Seas takes viewers on an exciting journey to the heart of our liquid planet.  Narrated by renowned voice talent Peter Thomas, this documentary series lets viewers experience first-hand how oceanographers study earth's last frontier, and sheds light on how human activities are threatening ocean resources.  Major funding for this program was made possible by a generous grant from the Batchelor Foundation, Inc.

The Changing Seas website features full-length episodes, behind-the-scenes photo galleries, profiles on featured experts, crew biographies, a series blog, and links to social media websites such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.  Each episode contains a section called ‘Related Links,’ which helps to connect viewers with materials, organizations and institutions related to that particular show.  Special acknowledgment for footage and services provided to Changing Seas are listed for every episode under the heading “Image Credits.”  Visitors to the Changing Seas website can also make donations and help Support Original Productions of WPBT2.

ChangingSeasTV” is the official YouTube channel for WPBT2’s ocean documentary series, Changing Seas.  Each season, full-length episodes, behind-the-scenes videos, and web-exclusive clips are posted online.  “ChangingSeasTV” was launched on July 26th, 2010 and features 64 videos to date.  This channel currently has 48 regular subscribers with new ones joining each week. 

A number of Changing Seas videos are also featured on the oceans layer in Google Earth.
