Since the Affordable Healthcare Act was upheld by the Supreme Court this past June, the legislation has been the subject of sharp contention among many Americans. According to bankrate.com, "most people think they know whether they like or dislike the law. But when it comes to knowing what's actually contained within this mammoth retooling of our health insurance system, most of us may not be smarter than a failing fifth grader."
The constant bombardment of political rhetoric from both sides has not yielded any clarification on this issue, either. There are many myths that have risen from the political cabal. A Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation opinion poll states, "six in ten (59 percent) think the law creates a government run plan, which it does not. And roughly two in three (65 percent) think that all business will be required to provide health insurance, when in fact businesses with fewer than 50 employees are exempt from this requirement."
