Central Park on June 26, 1993. Before an
audience of 500,000 adoring fans, and
backed by the New York Philharmonic
Orchestra, Pavarotti dazzles the crowd with
a virtuoso performance of some of the
greatest opera arias of all time. Included in
this special are “Quando le sere al placido”
from Verdi’s Luisa Miller; “Fra poco a me
ricovero” from Donizetti’s Lucia di
Lammermoor; “Il lamento di Federico” from
Cilea’s L’arlesiana; and “Occi de fata” by
Donza.
