Bird "Snoring" at Night
After dark, you can hear many sounds in Everglades National Park. But one bird call is very distinctive. The Chuck-Whills-Widow sings from dusk to dawn. Shanda and George, Jr. both mentioned this bird call, but having never heard it before, they were at a loss as how to describe it. Because it kept them awake for sometime, they thought of it as "snoring."
